Per a report from ESPNNY’s Darren Rovell,Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III’s, more commonly known as RGIII, No. 10 jersey will set the NFL record for jersey sales. The NFL only recently started keeping track of jersey sales statistics six years ago, and the numbers are pulled from the league’s official internet store, NFLshop.com. RGIII’s jersey beats the record previously held by Brett Favre’s, who had the distinction of holding the record twice, first with the New York Jets in 2008 and then again with the Minnesota Vikings in 2009. The league fiscal year runs from April 1 to March 31, which means RGIII broke the record with over three months left. 635 days
